I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
